Module: Strengthening Partnerships: Engaging Families in the IEP Process

This module explores leadership strategies for engaging families as meaningful partners in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, as required under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B. It focuses on the school administrator’s role in creating systems that ensure parents are informed, empowered, and active participants in decision making about their child’s education. Leaders will gain strategies to strengthen communication, build trust, and promote collaborative partnerships that support positive outcomes for students with disabilities.
